Handling Difficult Members/Visitors

Difficult members or visitors should be referred on to the Coordinator or other staff as soon as possible. Try to maintain a calm manner and reassure people that a problem can be solved.

If you are working with other volunteers when staff are not in the building and you feel seriously threatened, call the police on 000.

Remember: We do not expect you to work in the building on your own.
