It is played with tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Mahjong can help improve memory and is an excellent social activity. New players are welcome, and we can teach anyone who wants to learn. It is a pleasant, interesting and challenging activity for all ages. Come and look- see for yourself. Term 1- Starts Friday 2nd February 11.00am-1.00pm for 8 weeks. Term 2- Starts Friday 19th April 11.00am-1.00pm for 11 weeks. Term 3- Starts Friday 19th July 11.00am-1.00pm for 10 weeks. Term 4- Starts Friday 11th October 11.00am-1.00pm for 10 weeks. Cost $4 per session.
Social Card Group
Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre 8 O'Neil Rd, Beaconsfield, Vic, AustraliaCome and play 500 in this social, friendly group which stems from the original Probus Cards group. Beginners are welcome to come and observe for no charge. After learning how to play from watching the experienced players, new members can then join the games. Term 1- Thursday 22nd February and Thursday 28th March 1.00pm-5.00pm Term 2- Thursday 25th April (TBC),Thursday 23rd May and Thursday 27th June 1.00pm-5.00pm Term 3- Thursday 25th July, Thursday 22nd August and Thursday 26th September 1.00pm-5.00pm Term 4- Thursday 24th October and Thursday 28th November 1.00pm-5.00pm Cost is free when observing then $4 per session once playing.

Share your ideas and stories whilst learning some new methods with like-minded people. All levels and abilities welcome. Term 1 starts Friday 2nd February 10.00am-12 noon and runs fortnightly during term time. Term 2 starts Friday 19th April 10.00am-12 noon and runs fortnightly during term time. Term 3 starts Friday 19th July 10.00am-12 noon and runs fortnightly during term time. Term 4 starts Friday 11th October 10.00am-12 noon and runs fortnightly during term time. Cost is just a Gold coin donation per session.
